My Halloween Costume

There's nothing like a crown to make a girl feel really regal, you know what I mean? That's why I wanted one for Halloween, but I think I'll be able to get much more wear out of it during the coming year particularly if we get to go to Monte Carlo!

My Limousine Ride

Today I had to go to the showroom to meet some folks, so we called the big white limousine and I got to ride on the human's shoulder. It's always tons of fun and I love to sit and look out the window at the passing cars, and to look at all the sights that I'm not going to see for very much longer! Here we are going over the bridge at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor at the westernmost part of Waikiki, heading for the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Then, later when we got to the center, we bought my very first Halloween Costume, which I can't reveal until tomorrow, which is Halloween, although for many of you it will be over before it starts for me!

The Calm Before the Storm

Here I am sitting under my favorite end table, the one with my phone, which you may have seen in other pictures (have to stay in touch with the world, for goodness' sake) -

Well, today we got the news we are leaving Honolulu for PARIS, Europe on Thanksgiving Day - and getting to Paris early Saturday morning, (that's samedi matin for you folks who might not be sure). I am going to fly in the cabin all the way from Los Angeles to Paris on Air Tahiti Nui, who seem to be the friendliest airline going. We also get two whole meals, and I of course have to order strict vegetarian fare . . .

Well, as you can see I'm getting as much rest as I can because you can be sure the coming weeks will be packed, packed, packed with packing (and probably some repacking).

Along with the timothy hay, water bottle and Oxbow pellets, I intend to take just the essentials: long gloves for the opera, my almost-diamond halter - and, of course, in Paris you must have a scarf!

Getting Ready for the Big Move

Soon we are going to be getting our tickets for the big move from Honolulu, Hawaii to Paris, France! I have to help with the packing, you know. As you can tell, it is a big job and someone has to be around to see that it's done right. That's what I'm doing here.

For a long time now - weeks, as a matter of fact - we have been deciding what to take and what not to take, putting things in bags, getting closets cleaned out, throwing out old magazines and giving books to the library. My family had to leave me for a few days when they went to the French Consulate in San Fransisco to get their papers to go. Aunt Cynthia came to stay with me - my favorite aunt, you know - because she lets me have the best treats in the world, and doesn't tell.

Interviewing a New Toy

Once again the humans have tried to amuse me with a toy of their choosing. I have tried to point out to them that this is a precarious business, because I really like to find my own toys, with no outside pressure. But, it does pay to investigate a little, you never know when they may have stumbled on a good idea . . .

Here are a couple of videos of me being introduced to my new slinky. It's our first encounter, and I'm not too sure about it yet - do you think I should give it a chance?

Fashion Police

Most people do not have a stuffed four-foor rabbit in their living room dressing in a pale lavender evening gown.

But we do.

Sometimes, in our showroom, to model our latest accessories we use Ima Rabbitt, who is a rather large stuffed rabbit in a lovely evening dress. Here I am inspecting the finished product right before it leaves for the showroom. It's up to me to make sure every detail is done right - the humans just can't be trusted. It just their natural incompetence, I suppose.

How to Choose a Good Toy

videoHere I am in the middle of my toys on an ordinary morning. Notice the Big Brown Bag next to me. Notice how uninteresting it is. While it is a perfectly fine brown bag, it has been placed among my toys by my human family in the futile hope that I will take interest in it. Somehow, they think that just about anything will interest me.

Wrong.

Particularly uninteresting to me are the things that are given to me to play with. I much prefer to find my own amusement.

Now notice the white bag on the floor.

videoIt was dropped on the floor quite by accident by the tall thin member of my family. It happened that the short fat one had the camera ready, and was able to capture this record of my attack.

This bag is infinitely more interesting. First of all, there are some things inside it, which I am not supposed to see. Second, I wasn't supposed to notice the bag on the floor in the first place. And last, there was nothing about this that suggested that it was a human-approved toy.

It's much more fun to pirate your toys whenever you can. You never know what goodies might be found, and (although I never admit this) it's so much fun to aggravate the humans!
